TechEntrepreneur&SoftwareEngineer

I build technology companies that turn real-world African challenges into scalable digital solutions.

Over the past decade I've worked across sales, business development, design and technology. Now I combine all of it to found and scale my own ventures across commerce, mobility, agriculture and distribution.

01 · Journey

How I got here

I didn't start as a programmer. I started by understanding businesses and people.

A · Business (2013-2018)

What's the foundation everything else sits on?

I studied Marketing, and my first jobs put me directly in front of businesses and customers: recruiting partner shops and running activations at ZEPTO, then helping rural banks across Ghana fix real operational problems with their payment systems at GhIPSS. Before I ever wrote a line of code, I understood how businesses acquire customers, operate, and create value. That's stayed with me ever since.

B · Design (2019-2022)

How did design enter the picture?

I moved into graphic design and then UI/UX: brand identity, interfaces, prototypes. At PanaBIOS I was Lead UI/UX Designer and effectively the organization's only web developer, translating urgent, real-world needs into working software during COVID-19. At mPedigree, I designed and built the web presence for a product-authentication platform operating in a dozen countries. Design taught me to think about users and communication before I ever thought about code.

C · Technology (2022-2025)

When did you become an engineer?

At Talent Co-Op I spent three years as a fullstack software engineer covering frontend, backend, internal tooling, and systems that had to actually work in production. I built on projects like Gradia, a diamond-grading and buying platform, and FoundFast, a platform for turning startup ideas into real companies. That's where the deeper engineering (architecture, databases, infrastructure) really took hold.

D · Entrepreneurship (2025-Present)

What changed in 2025?

After years of working across business, design and technology inside other people's companies, I'd had enough experience to see the real pain points around me, and enough capability to go build the solutions myself instead of just recommending them. That's the shift: from building products for organizations, to building companies of my own.

E · What's next

Where is this going?

I want to keep integrating AI into the systems I build, not because AI is trendy, but because it lets me keep solving real operational problems across Africa at a scale one person or one team couldn't reach alone.

02 · Companies

Building what Africa's markets are missing

Five ventures. One underlying thesis: partner with visionary people, and build the technology infrastructure Africa's businesses and cities are missing.

Traka

Founder, 2026 - Present

Live

Distribution & Operational Intelligence

Watu SL's partners were selling hundreds of phones a day but constantly losing track of them: missing devices, no traceability, no visibility across the sales network. Traka is the operating system that fixes that. It connects suppliers, dealers and field sales agents on one trusted system so stock moves faster, money flows cleaner, and growth becomes predictable.

Powers ~90% of Watu's sales · 300+ transactions daily · 2,500+ field agents

Pilot: actively raising

Consumer Commerce & Delivery

Looma is Sierra Leone's all-in-one app for shopping, hiring helpers, and getting things delivered. On the vendor side, Looma makes it easy for merchants to reach a growing customer base and serve them with ease.

PrivateCab

Co-Founder, 2025 - Present

Pilot: actively raising

Mobility & Logistics

Most ride-hailing in Ghana focuses on the capital, leaving major secondary cities with real population and demand underserved. PrivateCab handles ride booking, scheduling, airport pickups, school runs and deliveries for exactly those cities.

Sembe

Co-Founder, currently building

In development: full launch 2027

Interconnected Mobility & Commerce Infrastructure

Sembe is an interconnected technology ecosystem for Sierra Leone. It's a platform for locating phone and device charging stations, advanced delivery infrastructure for the country's growing e-commerce ecosystem, and ride-hailing to and from recreational areas, hotspots and for intercity travel.

03 · Work

Projects that shaped how I build

Before founding my own companies, I built inside organizations working on mobility, health infrastructure, supply chains and finance across Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Mandi

2025 · Designer & Web Developer

A web-based graphic novel on climate change, telling Kelvin Kamara's true story from the Sierra Leone mudslide disaster in 2017. Built for an ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln project.

FoundFast

2022-2025 · Fullstack Engineer, at Talent Co-Op

A platform for startup enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and future investors to pitch, polish and propel ideas into real startups.

Gradia

2022-2025 · Fullstack Engineer, at Talent Co-Op

AgroTrack / SeedCodex / COMESA

2021-2022 · Frontend Developer

Online systems for agro-inputs traceability across West, East and Southern Africa: AgroTrack in Kenya, SeedCodex in Nigeria, and the regional COMESA project securing seed supply for farmers.

PanaBIOS

2020-2022 · Lead UI/UX Designer & Web Developer

A secure, standardized, tamper-proof digital suite for disease-contagion monitoring, spatial risk analytics, mass testing and process traceability. Built during COVID-19 to replace costly, restrictive physical border controls with smart digital controls for travel across Africa. Used by 50,000+ travellers in 2020.

mPedigree Goldkeys

06 · What's Next

Traka live. Sembe next.

Traka launched in 2026 and is already powering the majority of Watu's distribution network. Sembe, an interconnected mobility and commerce ecosystem for Sierra Leone, is currently in development, targeting a full launch in 2027. Longer-term, I want to bring AI deeper into every system I build: business owners asking plain questions about their sales, inventory, commissions and performance, and getting proactive answers. Anomalies flagged, low stock caught early, opportunities surfaced automatically. Not AI for its own sake. AI in service of solving real operational problems across Africa.

Technology should make life simpler, more accessible and more efficient, and Africa still has enormous room for that kind of transformation. My approach is to partner with visionary people and apply what I've learned across business, design and engineering to build it. My path here is unusual. Most people build deep skill in one of business, design, or technology. I've spent a decade building real, applied capability across all three, working with organizations across Africa, the Middle East and Asia. That combination is what lets me move from spotting a problem to shipping the system that solves it.
